One Room Challenge : Week 4 - Few Girly Touches

I appreciate the support, and also encouragement from my readers, during the past few weeks. As you may, or may not know, I am decorating my 'soon to be' seven year old daughter's bedroom. We are now in week four of the One Room Challenge, with only two short weeks left to go.

I am happy to report that I received most of the items I ordered online. I love the new line of accessories I found at Kirklands. Some of these beauties came home to me:-).

I also received the Ikea malm - 6 drawer dresser. My hubby picked it up on the weekend. I like its functionality; deep drawers, easy slides, and not to mention its height. It is just perfect for my little one.

The closet wall was taped for painting. (I assigned my husband this job). He works at his own pace. :-)

This is one of two Pottery Barn Knockoffs I completed.

Finally, I picked up this trim to be used on the curtains, and scored some great sale items at Target (to be shared on reveal day).

That will be all for today. I only checked off two additional items from my list but I believe I have made satisfactory progress.

Add duvet

Replace curtains

Get dresser

Organize closet

  1. All the decor you ordered is lovely - those owls and bookends are awesome. What a lucky daughter you have!

    1. Thanks Kathleen! Good luck with your porch. I love the look of the ceiling :-)

  2. You are making great progress!! That dresser is fantastic; it will take her from 7, to 17 and beyond. Good choice!

  3. I like the PB knockoff project! Your daughter's going to love her new room!

  4. Love all this pretty stuff!!! This is going to look great!

  5. I love that your husband works at his own pace. He must need to feel the project before he tackles it. My husband is like a disgruntled employee on projects, so I don't work with him. That's how we stay married. Good luck this week.

    1. Linda you are so Thanks very much :-)
