Tween Girls' Bedroom Update - ORC: Week 4

It is Week 4 of the One Room Challenge and I can say ruefully that time flies when you're having fun! As a matter of fact, I think the ORC must account for loads of it because as soon as I make a post, then the next week's post quickly follows suit.
With only two weeks to go, I am trying my best to get the room complete, in time for reveal day.

I received this pendant light a week ago and am pretty much stoked about having it hung. My intention was to have had it installed earlier but the light kit was not in stock at the time of purchase and as a result, I had to order it to be delivered at a later date.

I got around to spraypainting the DIY mirror frame that I mentioned here, and I love it! I think the navy will add a bit of a contrast to the light blue wall.

It's amazing how much a simple upgrade can help to enhance the look of an accessory furnishing without spending an arm and a leg in the process!

Here's a peek inside the closet with just one coat of paint added. I underestimated the amount I needed and only bought one quart when in actuality I needed a whole gallon. (lesson learnt) - always buy a little more than you think you might need.

Everyone else is working tirelessly on their rooms in preparation for Week 6, and they all look amazing! You can go here to check them out.

Well, that's all for now folks! Thanks for sticking around and kindly return to see how things progress through to the finish line.
Have an excellent weekend!
